On February 20, 2024, at 9:00 a.m., the Spring Semester Opening Ceremony of Huamei Foreign Language School was grandly held.

All the teachers and students gathered in the auditorium with refreshed spirits, full of anticipation, welcoming the new semester together.

Each arrival accumulates beauty and energy; each departure bathes in dreams and hopes. 

As the majestic national anthem resounded and the bright five-starred red flag rose, all the teachers and students stood solemnly. The national anthem echoed, inspiring the start of a new journey.

Captain Cui Binghua from Wutongshan Fire Station delivered a fire safety speech to all the teachers and students, covering fire safety and campus security measures in detail. From fire safety to overall campus security, each aspect was meticulously explained, ensuring that the students keep the safety rules in mind. With safety accompanying us in the new semester, we believe that everyone will grow stronger.

The ninth-grade student, Chen Chen, represented all the ninth-grade students to deliver a speech. 

She encouraged the younger students to build a solid knowledge foundation, cultivate their interests, and actively participate in various school activities. She urged the middle school students to complete every task assigned by the teachers with quality and quantity, keep up with the pace, dare to show themselves, and strive to excel, aiming to enter their ideal high school. 

Teacher Liu Haijun, representing all the teachers, encouraged the senior students to strive relentlessly at the critical juncture of life, to create a bright future for themselves and bring glory to the alma mater. Middle-grade students shoulder the responsibility of carrying forward the tradition, keep up the good work, strive for excellence, and create new achievements. New students in the lower grades are the fresh blood of our school. We hope you will adapt to the new environment quickly, be confident, self-motivated, and resilient, with new beginnings come new achievements!

Chen, from the Hong Kong division, read out the list of students with outstanding winter vacation assignments and those who performed excellently in the previous semester.

He encouraged all students to embrace "three qualities": a broad vision, a bright perspective, and a distant goal. He emphasized that learning is not only for personal development and life but also for facing the world with a global mindset, having big dreams, and broad perspectives to lead a better life. He urged students to set clear goals for the new semester, embark on their journey confidently, and develop good habits to achieve their goals. Finally, he motivated the graduating class with "three attitudes": maintaining a positive mindset, a diligent attitude, and an energetic stance to strive for success in the upcoming exams and future life plans.
