SLC-学生主导会议:为学习者赋权

为了让学生自主展示学习成果,TWIS于近日举办了备受期待的学生主导会议(Student-Led Conferences。会议强调了学生自主和有效的沟通,是向家长报告评估数据的重要平台,同时也让学生能够自行展示他们的学习之旅。

In a celebration of student learning and empowerment, TWIS recently hosted its much-antipated Student-Led Conferences (SLCs) on May 2 and 3. With an emphasis on student agency and to parents while also allowing students to take the lead in showcasing their academic journey.


SLC会议的核心是意义深远的,不仅会让家长了解孩子的进步,还需要学生展示出整个学年迄今为止去的的各种成就。通过这种以学生为中心的方法,学习者有能力驾驭自己的教育之路,掌控自己的成功、挑战和未来目标。

At the heart of SLCs lies a profound purpose: not only inform parents about their child`s progress but to also celebrate the diverse accomplishments and milestiones achieved throughout the academic year thus far. Through this students-centered aproach, learners are empowerd to navigate their educational path, taking ownership of their successes, challenges and future goals.


在会议上,学生们作为主讲人,自信地向家长和老师展示他们的作品和思考。这种形式不仅表现出了积极的参与感,同时也培养了对自己学习旅程的责任感。通过担任这一重要角色,学生们展示了他们的成长、优势和需要改进的地方,从而加深了对他们个人和学术发展的理解。

During the conferences, students stepped into the driver`s seat, confidently presenting their works and reflections to their parents and teachers. This hands-on involvement not only demonstrates active participation but also fosters a sense of responsibility for one`s own learning journey. By assuming this significant role, students showcase their growth, strengths, and areas for improvement, fostering a deeper understanding of their personal and academic development.


在学术领域之外,SLC加强了家长和学生之间的联系,促进了关于成就、挑战和愿望的开放交流。这种有效的沟通不仅提高了家校透明度,也有利于培养一个有利于整体成长的支持性环境。

通过SLC,TWIS重申了其培养全面发展的个人的承诺,学生们具备个人技能、信心和能力,能够在不断发展的世界中茁壮成长。随着会议临近尾声,学生赋权和协作学习的回响在整个学校社区中引发共鸣,激发了师生们对终身学习和成长的奉献精神。

Beyond the academic area, SLCs strengthen the connection between parents and students, fostering open communication regarding achievements, challeges, and aspirations. This effective communication not only promotes transparency but also cultivates a supportive environment conducive to holistic growth.

Through SLCs, TWIS reaffirms its commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals equipped with the skills, confidence and agency to thrive in an ever-evolving world. As the conference season drew to a close, the echoes of student empowerment and collaborative learning resonated throughout the school community, inspiring a collective dedication to lifelong learning and growth.


Culinary Voyage 在厨房探索国际风味

本周的烹饪之旅带我们来到了塞尔维亚,本次聘请到的Jelena厨师在贝尔格莱德和东莞的美食界都享有盛誉。

Jelena厨师的展示让学生们惊叹不已,他们有幸目睹了Jelena在制作塞尔维亚煎饼时的灵活、精准和自信。TWIS年轻的厨师们也都尝试使用计量杯和搅拌机等工具,拥抱烹饪的精致艺术,让所有感官都参与其中。通过她的专业知识,Jelena厨师传授了宝贵的一课,即烹饪不仅是一门科学,也是一种艺术形式。

This week, our culinary odyssey took us to Serbia, where we had the honor of hosting Chef Jelena, renowned for her exceptional culinary skills in Belgrade and Dongguan.

Chef Jelena`s demonstration left our students in awe as they witnessed her agility, precision, and confidence while preparing Palacinke, the Serbian Pancake. Armed with measuring cups, bowls and mixers, our young chefs followed her lead, embracing the refined art of cooking that engages all the senses. Through her expertise, Chef Jelena imparted the invaluable lesson that cooking is not just a science but also an art form.
