On May 12th, CISK held its annual Terry Fox Run where we successfully raised a total of RMB19,180 that will be donated to The Terry Fox Foundation (Cancer Charity). “I’m Not a Quitter”, the theme of this year’s Terry Fox Run, stated by Terry himself, where the purpose is to encourage persistence within the CISK community. Before the run, the whole school gathered in the gym to warm up, where the older students then made the “high-five tunnel” for the younger students as a tradition at CISK.

5 月 12 ，CISK 举办了一年一度的特里·福克斯义跑。我们成功筹集了19,180 元的善款，这些善款也将捐赠给Terry Fox  Foundation（癌症慈善机构）。 “我不是一个放弃者”，这是今年特里·福克斯义跑的主题，也是由特里本人所说的那样，其目的是想鼓励 CISK学校社区的所有人坚持不懈。跑步开始前，全校同学聚集在体育馆热身，高年级的学生随后为低年级的学生做“击掌通道“来迎接跑步。

As the run began, you could see the determination in the runners’ faces as they ran around the track. Additionally, activities were carried out in the lobby afterwards to further contribute to the charity event. From learning about the history of the Terry Fox Run in the classrooms such as how the journey of Terry Fox, the Marathon of Hope, came to be, to running on the track with friends and family, CISKers strive to understand the importance of supporting cancer research through our efforts.

慈善义跑中，全校所有师生及家长都奋力跑出了自己最好的成绩。 除此之外，为进一步为慈善活动做贡献，学校大厅还进行了慈善义卖活动。从在课堂上了解特里·福克斯义跑的历史，例如特里·福克斯的旅程（希望马拉松）是如何开始的），到与朋友和家人一起参加义跑，CISKer们通过展示自己的活力与努力就能为癌症研究做出贡献！

Starting from the 19th of May, organized by Ms Lily, CISK Friday Music is designed not only to make sure that students have a chance to perform more but also to boost our students´ confidence. Aside from the music aspect, these series of events also allow students from different grades to get to know each other better, narrowing down the gap between them. 

从5月19日起，由Lily老师带头组织的CISK周五音乐会拉开帷幕。借助这样的机会，热爱音乐的全校师生汇聚在一起，以“音”会友的同时，让自己的台风和自信心得以锻炼。每个周五，踏进校园的同时就迎来阵阵音律，这真是令人心旷神怡！

Theme：The Global Minds

主题：全球性思维

CISK held a Silent Art Auction in the school auditorium on May 26th to celebrate "The Global Minds" with over 40 pieces of artwork that showcased the artistic talents of students and teachers from Elementary school and Secondary school. The showcased artwork exemplified the students' and teachers' understanding of international perspectives, issues, and ideas. The Art Auction was an amalgamation of artistic brilliance and lucky draws not only to celebrate artistic spirit but also for the CISK community to come together and appreciate the talents of its students and teachers. Through this event, our CISK community underscored the significance of multiculturalism and the power of art in transcending boundaries. 

CISK 于 5 月 26 日在学校大厅举行了一场无声艺术拍卖会，以 40 多件艺术品来庆祝“全球性思维”，展示了中小学学生和教师的艺术才华。展示的艺术作品体现了学生和教师对国际事务的理解。艺术拍卖是艺术才华和幸运抽奖的结合，不仅是为了庆祝艺术精神，也是为了让 CISK 学校社区聚集在一起，欣赏学生和老师的才华。通过这次活动，我们想强调了解多元文化的重要性以及看到艺术打破国界的力量。

On May 27th, with the aim of strengthening communication between parents and school, and to provide parents with a deeper understanding of their children's learning environment at school, we invited parents to participate in the Parent Open Day event organized by the school. Parents could come to the school, enter the classrooms, and closely experience the growth of their children, while also gaining an understanding of their children's feelings during their time at school. CISK is committed to cultivating students' international perspectives and holistic education, and parents, as important bridges of communication between the school and the children, are an integral part of achieving this goal. We value our collaboration with parents and hope to make joint efforts in paving a solid foundation for their future growth and life progress.

5月27日，为了加强家校沟通，让家长们更深入地了解孩子在学校的生活和学习环境，也为了全面展示孩子们的综合发展情况，进一步促进家庭与学校之间的紧密合作关系，我们邀请家长们参加学校举办的家长开放日活动。家长们可以走进学校，走进课堂，近距离感受孩子们成长的点滴，同时也体会了孩子们在学校里成长过程中的感受。CISK致力于培养学生的国际化视野和全人教育，家长作为学校和孩子们之间重要的沟通桥梁，是达成这一目标的重要组成部分。我们非常重视与家长的合作，希望可以在孩子未来成长的过程中，携手合作，共同努力，为他们前进的道路铺就坚实的基石。
