This week, CISK welcomed Mrs. Barbara Parker, an international consultant working for the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

The purpose of Mrs. Parker’s visit, part of the pre-initial visit in the WASC-school accreditation process, was to provide the school with a clear guidance on the requirements for international WASC accreditation and what we need to do as school to successfully achieve the international accreditation.

Accreditation is a voluntary process that schools chose to undergo to show that they are worthy of the trust placed in them to provide high-quality teaching and learning processes as well as a supportive school development organization, and this through continual self-improvement.

During her visit, Mrs. Parker met with a large number of students, parents, teachers, school leaders, and members of the Board of Directors. She observed lessons in the primary and secondary school, and shared following message with the school at the end of her visit:

“This has been a very productive visit. I would like to thank you for your hospitality and how open everyone was throughout the conversations we had. I am looking forward to our continued collaboration in your school’s journey towards accreditation.”

Please follow us to know more about the next stages of the WASC-accreditation process in the months to come.
